Some of the projects we have coming up for collaboration will need some extra... stuff. Connected to the forum. For example, Etherpad! Here's a link: github.com/ether/etherpad-lite#next-stepsI've been told "Pirate Pad" is a quick-and-dirty version of this. Now, personally, I have utterly no idea what any of that is, what it means, or how it works; but for some of the projects we have in mind, a few of our users would benefit tremendously from having this integrated into our forum. Is there anyone willing to take up the challenge? Or thoughts on how we could achieve the same or similar effect using something else?

PiratePad is an "instance" (actively running copy) of the original Etherpad, an open-source solution for realtime document editing by multiple users. Let's say you want to work on a document such as the Peer Supporters Bill of Rights, or a list of principles, a handbook, or a whitepaper with peers online. Or how about the next time you have a meeting where minutes are being taken --- everyone can see the minutes on the screen in real time, and if there's an error, participants can jump in and "fix" it. Before the meeting closes, everyone can review the minutes, finalize, and sign off (instead of waiting a month or so and hoping memory serves well enough). Ready to see it live in action? Here you can start your own pad (clicking on the frog)... Visit piratepad.net/Here's an example of a Peer Handbook document / pad started... (it will expire in 30 days, but we have a backup) piratepad.net/YGex3CnKkkWant to learn a bit more and see some screenshots first? Read up at: piratepad-net.appappeal.com/Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Etherpad Enjoy!

^^^ Huh! Amazing. After reading, I understand more about what this actually is now. Also I typed a little on the forum there. I'm purple!
So remind me now... you wanted us to install something specific on this forum? Is there something better than simply using that application, like in the links you provided?
