Here's our first collaborative project! Since I'm having trouble thinking of a list of rules... would anyone else like to take a stab at this one?
All I can think of is "don't be a jerk". But trying to slice that down into all sorts of imaginable transgressions that need to be articulated is something I'm having difficulty coming up with.
--------------------
Jan 26th, here's what's come to mind.
-- Do not post anything that would violate the law. This includes of course doxing, or sharing information that violates HIPAA.
-- This is a public forum, so the things you post here can be viewed by anyone with an internet connection. You are also responsible for all the things you post.
-- This forum is designed for mental health collaboration and connection. While issues of social justice may occasionally be necessarily linked to some of our topics, the focus should remain on mental health, not social justice debates.
-- No profanity or rough language. This includes in private messages with another user. Play it safe unless you know for sure they're okay with it.
-- Please be respectful of others. Dissent and challenging ideas are very welcomed on this board, but be willing to let the other person have the last word, and don't get caught up in the need to win. And certainly no personal attacks.
-- As an organization, we support evidence-based mental healthcare. While we respect an individual's right to practice any healthcare options they choose, PHEN will only promote evidence-based care.
-- Advertising is fine, as we like to know when classes for peer support are happening, and there are plenty of services that are very relevant to what we do here. But place all ads in the appropriate threads. Also remember that PHEN only supports evidence-based practices.
-- English only please.
